Dr. Samit S Jain is a Mumbai-based Consultant Gastroenterologist currently practising at dadar and south mumbai . He has the postdoctoral DM (Gastroenterology) degree as well as a DNB in Gastroenterology. Dr. Samit Jain is highly skilled in providing clinical care in in-patient, out-patient and intensive care settings. He has considerable experience in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures with a high level of competence, and has performed more than 7000 diagnostic oesophagogastroduodenoscopy and 3000 colonoscopies, besides having performed more than 2500 ERCPs and 2000 EUS independently. He is proficient in various therapeutic endoscopic procedures including variceal ligation, variceal injection, endoscopic dilatation with bougie and balloon, endoscopic treatment of ulcer bleeds, polypectomy, argon plasma photocoagulation and other common procedures. He is also familiar with oesophageal / anorectal manometry and pH-metry procedures, and has independently done sphincterotomies, oesophageal stents, and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomies.
