Graduated from Patna Medical College in 1980 and was fortunate enough to get admission in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India (from 1982 to 1985) in MD-cum-Residency Program in Medicine.In fact, before joining Residency cum MD program at Post Graduate Institute medical Education and Research, Chandigarh I was engaged with a research project in the Department of Cardiology for six month from 1st January 1983 to 30th June 1983. Actually, this was a project on Oral Propafenone in Ventricular Arrhythmia. This was done under the guidance of Prof. R. P. Sapru, Associate professor, Department of Cardiology at PGI, Chandigarh. Interestingly, this was the opening of my research activity in clinical medicine, which was followed by my MD in Internal Medicine at the same Institution.
